On a more thread appropriate note, I have been working on a new brake linkage system. I just need to get a couple more parts, and I'll post up some pictures.

How do you get a return spring on your carb. The throttle linkage won't return the carb and I put a spring from the high speed needle to the slide and it catches. Any thoughts? Anyone else have problem with the linkage?

I've never had much luck with return springs. They always pull at an angle, causing the slider to wear unevenly, and / or create binding issues. In a few cases where i felt i needed it, i've been using a few good rubberbands, or similar. But due to the heat, they don't last forever.

I have mine on the bell crank...works well there. Only drawback is if the linkage pops off it won't help then but works just fine for a power failure.

Thanks for the heads up. I tried the stock wheels first and they in fact were ok, but most of my tires are on AKA wheels, which rubbed. I just dremeled off the outer holes for now, if the new hubs represent a big improvement I'll just grab a fresh set of rear arms.
On another note, I'm really really happy with how the car is handling/performing now that I found a neutral setup that I like. The only issue I'm having consistently is killing shock bladders. It appears that the piston has too much "up" travel and is Guillotining the bladders at the upper egde of the shock body. Has anyone found a way around this other than putting spacers on the shaft to limit up travel?

Yeah and you asked a question about the wrong car, in the wrong area of the forum. Based on how unintelligible your posts usually are, I figured you might actually have never heard of the DNX408v2. When I read your post, I was concentrating on the "never heard of the v2" part, not the one time you mentioned DEX. I only made my mistake because you made 2 of your own.

i run losi bladders with about 5mm of fuel tubing on the shock shaft to stop the up travel a little!

No, lutz said at silver state that some parts would be comin into production soon but i cant see it as a UK team driver that has one said that it wouldnt be production ready for neo 13 so im guessing it will be ready for next year, well i hope it is as i will have two years on my current car by then, it is goin really well atm as i replaced the chassis and bulkheads and a few other things!

Great tip, I have run Losi bladders for a while, and filed down the edges of the shock bodies, but would still cut bladders really often. The fuel tubing is a great idea. Thanks.

its the piston comin up and hitting the bladder as i always used to break the bladder and if u were running vented caps the oil went everywere but i run losi bladers an the fuel tubing with no problems
