Do you guys put any kind of lube or green slime on the shock o-rings when you install them or should you leave them dry? Just trying to get the smoothest possible shock so any suggestions would be great.

Always use lube.... I use red Mobil one grease. Works like a charm...

Green slim works well...I use Dow33 because I have a lot left over from my paintball days. Dow33 is used in paintball guns where tolerances are super tight and any swelling of the o-rings will cause problems.

Note - For all you paintballers out there who might be thinking of trying this with your left over grease...make sure you do not use Dow55. A lot of paintball guns out there use Dow55 but Dow55 does cause o-rings to swell.

Starting to get a handle on my Durango's and very pleased with the durability and performance.

Finished third at round 5 of the Midwest Nitro Series at clark rc park in WI.

Finally found setups that suit my driving style and the feel I was looking for.

Made a few changes to the buggy today for this coming weekend.

Anyone have any experience with the new Dual Position C-Hubs ?

Been looking at Lutz's LCRC setup.

Also, installed the new White Springs - Red Front, Green Rear - Any opinions ?

Default Setup info

Hey all,
I am just now getting into the idea of racing my DNX I am curious to see any setups that make the car neutral. I am looking for a good base setting so that I can start to work off of. I will be running on the JBRL round 6 track here in Chula Vista. Only 1 highspeed corner, the rest are tight. lots of medium sized jumps. Where can I start? Also I seem to always have a car that like to float in the air, and I see everyones seems to drop down nose first rather easily. Is it setup or is there alot of brake action going on?

Thanks for the help!

Hi guys

what other 36mm clutch/flywheel options are out there besides M2C and Werks clutches that are availabe to buy online? Can't seem to find too much in 36mm available....just bought a werks 'pro' light set-up but want to buy another brand for test/comparison.

cheers

Is it just me, or have Werks discontinued the 36mm clutch/flywheel kit? No longer listed on their site, and no-one seems to be selling them now?

After working on the stock clutch and getting very frustrated with the ancient design, I switched to the Buku clutch and I love it! I have several races on it now and the shoes don't show any wear! Plus it is so easy to tune the clutch, just stop the engine, adjust the set screws in the flywheel and fire the engine back up and keep on running! Initially I was very hesitant because of the investment, but in my opinion the ease of maintenance and tuning makes up for the higher cost!

I tested with the dual position c-hubs (12 degree) when I initially got the DNX408 and before the new white springs were available and it worked ok. Now that I have the updated springs, I have switched back to the stock (10 degree) c-hubs and the car is more responsive than with the 12 degree c-hubs. I have the white/red fronts and the white/blue rears on my setup, just like the setup from Ryan Lutz at the 2012 Nats. The only difference in my setup is that I did the rear shock mod and went out one shock hole on the tower to get a little more 'pop'. The car is very stable with that setup and can be pushed really hard, especially coming out of turns!

+1

Running this on my 408 also, so much easier to tune and adjust for different track conditions.
