I just put on the silver/blue fronts and white/green rears on. I haven't put any laps down yet with them but I should be doing some testing tomorrow. I'll let you know. I'm using 4 hole B pistons, 35wt rear and 40wt front AE oils FWIW.

Please let me know. But curious, how did you come up with that combo?

From the recommendation of an experienced driver. The F:R spring rate ratio is the same as the ratio that Lutz ran at Nats. Since those springs aren't out yet these are the closet rates that retain the ratio.

This was asked in the DEX forum by another poster but I thought I'd ask it here.

Is anyone not running the +2mm rear mod? If you aren't can you explain why? I'm going to try it out today to see if I notice any difference.

Lutz' 2012 Nats setup uses White/Red (front) and White/Blue (Rear).

White/Red spring rate is 103
White/Blue spring rate is 87

Front to rear ratio is 1.1839

Based on the stiffest TD springs currently available, which is the Silver/Blue (front) with a spring rate of 97. Use the front to rear ratio and you end up with 81.9, which leaves the options of White/Green (81) or Silver/Green (88), hence the combination of Silver/Blue (front) and White/Green (rear) combination....

I figured this would be a better combination than any of the other TD spring combinations until the White/Red and White/Blue are available in the US.

Wow, so that really does not leave much on the prototype that is not kyosho. Probably only the drivetrain and chassis.

From the looks of Jorn's car at the euros, the Kyosho part list on the prototype seems to be shocks (front, rear, stand offs), front suspension (arms, caster blocks, hubs, drive shafts), and the fuel tank. Other than that it looks to be all durango prototype parts.

Ive searched this and i have not found a answer..

is anyone else having problems with bending the front drive shafts due to the dog bone locking out in the out drive when the shock is fully compressed.

i was just gonna limit the up travel of the shock by using shims but i just wanted to see if anyone else is using different shock bottoms to compensate for this.

For those who were waiting for the springs that Ryan Lutz used on his 2012 Nationals setup, they are now in stock (limited quantities) at Tower Hobbies:

Yep, placed my order this morning. Also grabbed silver/gray rears to match up with my silver/blue fronts to have a softer but more progressive set for fine tuning to track conditions.
