I'd like to build the kit from the start with a halfway decent setup on it so I'm not too far off.

Also, are people running the 2mm rear mod all the time, or is that a track by track type adjustment? I noticed on Lutz's setups that some listed it in the notes, but others didn't.

Thanks in advance for any thoughts on this, looking forward to my first foray into nitro.
i think the 2mm mod is all the time

Yes, 2mm mod all the time unless otherwise noted. (I've ran 1mm at Alabama Manufacturers Shootout.)

Will be posted on my website shortly after the A-main is over hopefully!

I'm just wondering which setup to choose as a basis for quite flat and loose track, with very few jumps. The car is all ready now, just waiting for its setup to race it tomorrow . I looked at many setups and vids but all the tracks have massive jumps so I doubt the setups I found are adequate
Your track sounds similar to the Neo-track. There are many jumps here but nothing with severe landings. I'm running softer than i've ever ran before here, but set-up is pretty close to what I ran last year at Neo.

It's not the first time they test "weird" things on the front bulkhead. Maybe what we're looking at here is just to add some weight on the front.

Also i think they might be testing a different chassis, or at least Jorn is not using the stock one.
I've been looking to other pics from the Neo race...and i think the difference on the bulkhead is that they're running some kind of insert to move the front diff forward...

Here are some pics:

If you look at the front bulkhead where the diff case fits there's a light grey part between them. So i guess it moves forward some weight and makes the driveshaft angle a little wider?

Good luck DRCRacer299 in your semi and the main today at NEO2012!! You get that Adidas sponsor yet? Drove some friends dex210 and v3410 and am now sold on Team Durango's kits and will be working towards the 1/8 electric and nitro buggies and aforementioned 1/10 to do my racing with

Question re the truggy.

Does anyone know if the diffs and shocks are going to be the same?
Have spares of all 3 diffs and 4 shocks, just wondering they would be worth holding onto?

Rear buggy shocks will be the front Truggy shocks. (Rear Truggy shocks will be longer)

Diffs are the same except for Ring and Pinion gear (F & R) and Spur Gear.

Haven't secured that sponsor yet! But need to get on that!

Glad to hear your jumping onto the Durango bandwagon! I'm sure you'll enjoy it!
Thanks!

Here is my slghtly modified DNX408

Thanks Ryan for all the setups you share it was very helpful for me in the last race. The car is so planted, jumps with no effort, awesome steering... I love it.

I kept the pink for my JQ, pink is the fastest colour and I already go faster with the DNX

What setup do you guys use on a loose track with few bumps?
