The electronics, batteries, engine and pipe has a lot more to do with weight than the car it self. (my MP9 tki can vary from 3247 to 3488 by just changingelectronics, batteries, engine and pipe). I am about finished building mine and so far so good and by the way very impressed with Team Durango customer service.

You are right. I saw on the JQ "The Car" section someone has already weighed their "The Car" at over 3400g. That's 150g+ on what was quoted on the JQ page, and "the" body wasn't cut or painted.

That is why I went for a Durango - and love it. I didnt read too much into the weight quotes as I knew Durango would be as close to minimum weight as they could get without compromising on their qualities and objectives.

There is no way its over 3400g, I don't know how much the uncut body affects it, but either that or the scales are wrong. Someone else weighed it at 3250 which is right.

JQ - you should really spend more time on "the" thread, rather than following Team Durango

looks like this thread might be heading in the wrong direction so ill add my new toy to bring us back on track.

what a great car to build. the only issue i had was a split rod end. i built as per the manual for set up.

paint pictures are from my phone so dont expect much lol. still need to apply the decals.

still deciding on motor and servos. Speed motor isnt mine buts its on my short list.

hope ya like the pictures.

The 3400 weight of The CAR was only due to very heavy tires, there was a difference of 106g between the tires used on the car and other brand similar tires...

What you can't see in THE Car that weighed 3400 is the stack of cash totaling almost $200 that he saved under the body!

Of course I'm kidding, but I do have a question. How are you suppose to set brake bias with the transponder in the way? We were looking at one at the hobby shop last night and we couldn't figure it out.
