Fastest RTR YOU CAN BUY...?

Hello everyone,
Was contemplating putting a kit together or just buying a RTR... I know ultimately a kit with a modied engine would be faster but is there a RTR kit that you know that is screaming fast right out of the box... OFNA Jammin X1x Sport 1/8 Off Road 4WD RTR Buggy IS one suggested to me so far. Please let me know if you have any other routes. Thank you in advance...

alot of people have never tryed this. but the tamiya tnx 5.2r is probably the fastest off-road vehicle thats RTR. gps + speed gun both got 117kmph. use a calc to convert

I can confirm this as I do own the TNX. In fact it topped out at 300km/h with me in Japan. :spidey:

... on the Nozomi express....

Schumacher has a 1/10 truck with a 3.5cc engine and 3 speed gearbox

For that get a Hyper7 and put a better engine in, gear it for speed and done!

Are we talking all out speed or race worthty? The outlaw, back street, for big money guys around here run hyper 7s with .32s and tall gears. They lock the center diffs and let 'em rip. The only one that hits curbs and still keeps going. One guy has a 1/5 scale, chain saw motor, if he doesn't rip tires off, is in the money. Great fun to see.

Track worthy? Losi 8ight 2.0...

I probably wouldn't say RTR at all. I haven't seen an RTR engine that can hold a candle to a full race engine. But if all your looking to do if fast runs in a straight line then I suggest buying whatever rtr you want. Swiss cheese the hell out of the chassis, remove all unnessacary screws and parts. Gear it to the moon. And don't run into any curbs.

If you want fast and reliable and something to bash then buy something you can get parts for. Fast is relative.

I have seen Losi 8 2.0 RTR with upgraded servos and turbo button, run with pack with stock engine. He went through the whole season on the same engine, and it was PLENTY for a race track....

Now you say, fasted RTR.... Are you planning to race? If you are planning to race, fastest car do not win races... Over power is actually bad... You burn through clutches and tires way to fast. This is my opinion.

I have to. And he managed to start in the #6 or #7 spot in the Canadian Nationals A-main last year. The motor had plenty of power for him, it was the run time that may of held him back a bit compared to the highier dollar motors. I don't think he was running the upgraded head button though, but he was running a Losi RE-10 pipe.

I would grab a Losi Speed NT or Speed T before I grabbed a Traxxas anything.... JMO.:tire::tire:
Both of these make better on road vehicles than off road but....
