I have been running 7955 in all my 1/8 th scale vehicles for throttle and steering. The servos are about three years old and they have been on lipo for about two years. They are great.

Unhappy Why bother?

I don't get why people buy 1/8 scale, 1/10 runs better with less issues, while the one-eighth scales cost more $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$???!

Ignorant statement and completely off topic. Not to mention, 1/10th buggy 4x4 is pretty much non-existent in huge portions of the US and infinitely more fragile in general terms (negate cost factor).

Hey guys, new servos coming to the market by hitec's 94xx series, savox's 228x series. Also, i saw futaba s.bus sv175 and sv177 brushless servos which are most expensive ones in the market (sv175 :120eu, sv177: 180eu). Are those futaba servos applicable for rc buggys.

Btw, i didn't hear about futaba 9352sv servos. can any user tell me about their experience about it?

BY far the most Tq and Speed per $ is the Protek 150S and 150T, They are RIDICULOUSLY fast. IMO too fast for steering.

I use the savox 1270 for steering and throttle in my truggy. They have been great for me. .11 speed and 486 torque at 7.4v.

Some people will tell you they're run them with LiPo's...but Savox doesn't rate them for it.

I went with the 2273 and 2274 and have been very pleased with them.

edit: check out the new 12XX series:

You can run the Savox 1256tg & 1258tg on a 6.6v 2s LiFe pack with no problems, a small gain in speed & torque is most likely gained as well.
I've been using a 6.6 LiFe pack on mine for nearly a couple years with no issues, I wouldn't try LiPo on them, haven't actually heard about anyone running them on LiPo but would be interested to know how they went.
