How do you want to "succeed"? Win races? You keep saying you failed, but haven't provided any examples of what it was you did that you "failed" at. What class do you want to race? What's your budget?

rustler jato 10-14-2010 08:33 PM

my budget is small right now but next year i can get an actual job thank god!! k t max bateries last 5 minuts raze discontinued jato did donuts the nitro sport is driving its just not enough power no matter what i do and its a crap car anyway.

Sell everything (hopefully get around $300-450) and get a nice 1/8 truggy or buggy. 4WD and 1/8 power will get you great handling and awesome power.

i will keep it in mind but like what car is the best for me to getr

quixoticboi 10-14-2010 08:46 PM

That's going to start a long road to nowhere...

The infamous "What car should I get?"

I suggest you calm down and get a grip first. Then sell the cars you don't like and keep the money. You still haven't said what your problems are. Is it tuning, do you keep breaking parts, what? If there's 1/8 racing in your area and you're on a budget, I'd suggest the Ofna Hyper 7. You can get those RTR right now for about $300. Parts are easy to get and fairly cheap, your LHS can order through Great Planes or you can get directly from Tower if you don't have an LHS. It's an older design, but it's durable and you'll be fine with it until you get some experience under your belt and need to upgrade. I know a college student who raced one in Sportsman for several years and did fine with it. Perfect car for someone who's on a budget.

This is the car I'm talking about. Engine isn't legal for sanctioned races, but I doubt it will matter in a club race. Check with your track:

You are buying RC that are not meant for RACING.... That is your problem. Jato is a street thing meant to go straight.

If you want to race, you need to get something made for racing and it is not cheap no matter how you go.... But right now, I would suggest the Losi 810

http://www.losi.com/Products/Default...rodID=LOSB0021

$400.00

or MY BEST suggestion is the Losi 8 RTR

http://www.losi.com/Products/Default...rodID=LOSB0084

$700

No cheap OFNA, you will be in the same boat as you are now.

dont go rtr, try out buying an used pro car, rtr are creapy things an you'll be disappointed again

Totally disagree......... I have seen Losi RTRs podium in pro class, bone stock.

Not all RTRS are the same AND I would say IMO - stay away from USED..... You dont know what your getting, and you will still spend 600-700 getting a used one running right.

First of all what do you want?? you want to race or you want to have fun at the track?? if you want to have fun at the track I definetly buy a
Team Losi Ten T

Snowbum32 10-15-2010 09:28 AM

i would do an 1/8 scale they are considered built proof compared to 1/10 scale

You really need to stay away from that Traxxas stuff. Slash is decent, but it's electric. Not many are running the Slayer. 1/8 buggy will be slightly cheaper than a truggy.

bad ass 10-15-2010 09:56 AM

you can convert the ten t into a 1/8 :nod:buggy

Without spending $$$$$.....
