I've driven it more than he has, and since the World's basically took up 2 weeks, the last race I took it to was at an indoor track and I TQ'd the second round, and had to leave... So as it stands, the only video thus far is the one I filmed that's on YouTube... sorry.. We'll get some more video..

Thumbs up

A couple things... Helpful tips.

Using a body reamer. Make the new antenna hole 15mm to the rear of your body.

Anyone using Hitec 7950's

you would use the #4 spacers on the Steering servo

You would use the #2 spacers on the throttle servo

Same with 7940's? I assume only the 7950's, thanks in advance.

Talking MORE PICS AND TIPS....

As you can see in the pictures the center diff top plate, needs to have a tiny amount of love removed from it with a rotary sander on a dremel. This is to avoid the brake lever from rubbing it. I would say remove 2mm. First picture is actually a video, click on it!!!

well, that linkage is certainly different. Am I to guess there is a claim that it works better this way? (I mean everyone knows a wheel is round and it works pretty good as is, so you dont see people reinventing the wheel so to speak)...perhaps a better carb pull, thus leading to reduced carb hang ups???

I believe it's more for weight balance than anything else.

I won't lie though, I like the way it pulls directly on the brake there, very straight/strong pull.

Yes, it does work better this way. At the Worlds, the track was a car, chassis, servo... killer. Fast, rough, concrete patches... Every racer ran about 4-5 hours each and all Cobras ran the entire week without a single servo issue. Billy ran over 5 hours on the same 2 servos. A lot of other brands of cars had servo problems but not Serpent. The new tray is awesome.
