hi all. i have a hobao hyper 7 car. all of a sudden the car stopped and would not turn on. when on the ground i tried to push it and it would just lock. i lifted the car up and spun the wheels and the 2 front wheels were spinning in opposite direction to the back. i started the car airborne but wheels where still spinning opposite ways. i have asked a few people and i have been given feed back, some saying that my clutch ball or shoes are gone. i would like to know what you guys think and has anyone experienced this before. thanks

Sounds like you need to open the diffs and refill them with diff fluid or grease.

definitely something with the center diff or clutch....take it apart and inspect.

This is possible only if you worked on it. If it was running then stopped. I bet your have a diff screwed somewhere not one put in upside down. If you did work on it you may have put one in upside down.

It's not going to fix itself. Take the car apart and see what's wrong.

First check the center diff and clutch. If those are fine, move onto the F/R diffs.

i just took the engine out along with the clutch and it pushed it. it rolled normally. i have not done anywork or taken it apart before

Sounds like there is something locked in the clutch or spur gear, maybe a center diff carrier bearing or you have a brake hung up.

The reason the front and rear wheels are spinning opposite is that the center diff is operating. Its like spinning the left wheel forward and watching the right spin backward same principal.

hi guys, the bearing inside the clutch bell looks to be broken. hopefully this is the main problem......

If it rolls fine with the engine out then yeah thats probably the only problem. If not then you may have other issues as well. Something tells me the bearing is the only real problem here.

That still wouldn't be the cause of your wheels spinning in opposite directions..it's likely your diff.

If the clutch is locked spinning front or rear wheels will turn the center diff gears and cause the opposite wheels to turn backwards.

Diff is in backwards, the diff gear should sit on the left side of the gearbox when looking at it and for both front or rear gearboxes.
