Default Spur and Pinion Gears

I have been working on a RC10gt. I have been buying a few piece to put together a car that was not taken care of. My questions is about what number of Teeth clutch bell and spur gear I should get? I want this car to be fast and I know that this could play a part in it. Please help me with this. I know that I want to stay with the total teeth (between both) to be less than 86.

i dont know what the stock gearing on a gt2 is but you want either a smaller spur or a larger pinion, or a combination of the both.

i run the stock 66 spur and the 15 clutchbell. i have a gt not the gt 2 and it does about 50mph fully tuned. ive seen a few with a 21 tooth clutch bell and they got up to speed faster. so id problably lower the spur and up the clutchbell teeth.

Well theres 2 types of speed. Do you want to be quick or do you want to be fast? If you are planing on running on a track then quickness is what you need. If you just want to backyard bash and put up some cool numbers on a radar gun then you want to go fast. What you gain on bottom end you give up on top end and vice versa.
