Depends on how much you race and how good the quality is for the stock bearings. If you go through a lot of bearings in a season then ceramics might be a good investment.

I use ceramic bearings through out my cars, engine and drive train, hubs, steering posts basiclly the lot and find that they run true and freely allowing engines to last longer, cvd joints to last longer.

With a free flowing car the wear and tear on each moving parts lasts longer, so when you add those savings to the cost of ceramic bearings the cost answers your question....yes it is worth the money in the long term.

The big pluses are the car spools up faster and rolls for ever when you get off the gas, the first time i drove a car with complete ceramics through out i thought the car was running on ( throttle trouble ) but the fact was the car was just holding speed due to the free flowing ceramic bearings.

Like every thing in the rc game it comes down to maintaining the car at its best to get the best out of the car...Boca Bearings have never let me down yet and i race two - three times a month across 4 classes

I would agree that ceramics are the way to go. I ran complete ceramics in my Hyper buggy. I will say though that you had better plan on an extra 5 hours or so of maintenance. You will need to take them all out and clean and re lube them all every 1/2 gallon or so. That became a PITA for me so now I use disposable metal bearings
