Default .21 Racing Engines-Please recommend

Hello,

I had a Novarossi N21R from my XRay XB808 for a few months and it feels that I need more power now since I believe I am ready to start racing. Would you please suggest an engine and the appropriate pipe?

Thanks

You will get a wide variety of engines.. You need to be a little more specific in what you are looking for.. Price Range, Track size, do you like bottom end in a motor, or top end, do you want a nice smooth engine, etc??

For $250 or less would tell ya to look at the TQ and the Werks B6 or B5 and the Alpha Plus line of engines..

Price at the moment is not an issue. The tracks we are racing are tight so I guess I am looking for good acceleration.

I have heard nothing but good things about Novarossi engines my entire time into Nitro R/C. Lots of guys mention them at the top of their short list of engines to consider. I've also heard good things about Werks engines, and a few people online seem to like other engines from EB Mod, Max Power, RB Concept, and even Axe Rossi engines.

It's really hard to sort through all the people mentioning the engine they run as the best, or an engine that won this or that race as the best etc. People always tell me to see what the local guys run and see if that gives you any ideas.

The p5 would be a good choice for shorter tracks, and it will be reliable too...

Stick with Novarossi and you won't be dissapointed.....

If price is not a issue then get the O.S. Speed and pair it with the reedy 2035 and don't look back, you will get great fuel mileage and super power.

Mate get in contact with Neal and John fron Clockwork Racing Engines and grab a clocked werk B6 with a 2057! Neals engines are some of the best out there, there customer service is second to none (just read the clockwork thread on here and you will see) And Neal hand laps the piston and sleeve so the run in is super quick and painless!

The B6 is super smooth on the bottom but has alot of power, absolutely rips on the top, is easy to tune and gets great fuel times!

Just have a look at the web site, send them an email and see how you go!

Werks B5 or B6 with either a Werks 2057 pipe or 2013. Best engine(s) you will ever invest in!

You wot go wrong with the WERKS B5 or B6 and a WERKS pipe for around 300.00 Just read the forums on these two, along with the customer service that is excellent.
