NO....you need a truggy to keep up with a truggy. Simple as that.

your better off, getting a truggy man if your on a budget and want a good truggy thats competive , with the eights etc get the hb d8t truggy.

you can get it for, $329 it is a kit though so you would need a .21 engine and a better steering servo, that has atleast 330 oz of torque.

Yeah....I bought a Revo 3.3 thinking I was gonna race it. Got to the track...no monster truck class so they tossed me in the Truggy class. No way in heck will you kept up unless you HEAVILY modify it. Buy a Truggy....

I had a revo platinum a few months ago and sold it to get a 8-t. Let me tell you they are worlds apart in terms of performance. The platinum was by far the best handling/jumping/quickest monster truck on the track, but very few people race them if any at all. Against other revos and t-maxx's the platinum was king of the hill but against any decent truggy it wouldn't hold a candle. Since i got my 8-t 2.0 race roller i can't believe the difference in terms of performance and jumping abilities. The 8t flies effortlessly, almost as well as my 8 2.0 buggy. Its really a night and day difference between a MT and truggy.

Ive seen some Revos run with truggies takes a center diff mod, single speed, .21 engine and whole lot of tuning and tweaks.

i am going to get it for my girlfriend so she can learn on it and bash it around and not have to worry about breaking parts. i am going to try and get money rounded up and get myself a truggy by next summer. so i can run both buggy and truggy
