setup help?

hi there,

i am getting confused with my set up on my losi 8ight 1.5. my local track is very bumpy and usually dusty but last night it was damp and very sticky mud.

does anyone have a good standard set up for bumpy tracks? has anyone tried the set up's on the losi website e.g truhe set up, and which one works best on bumpy tracks?

many thanks

lewis

how does the diff react if I fill my diff up in my Losi:-

5-5-5 = ??
5-7-3 = ??
5-7-5 = ??

Similar to Lewis asking in similar condition.

What is a 1.5?

rcdude236 08-13-2010 09:38 AM

keep the right height a little higher and it might help.

A 1.5 is like a losi 1.0 with a hole bunch of 2.0 parts? Correct me if im worng.

I dont think no one is going to have a exact set up for one of these. You will have to try and play with the set up and see.

lewis666 08-13-2010 09:53 AM

yes rcdude your right. it is all the important 2.0 parts that make a difference. e.g chassis, shock towers, hub and spindle carriers etc.

does anyone have a setup sheet or know a setup that is a good starting point on bumpy tracks?

many thanks

Try starting with the basic 2.0 set up then tune from there, go up 1mm in front and rear on ride hight and a and droop to 97 front and 108 rear. Just a thought....

when i ran my 1.0 eight last year, the mike truhe setup worked pretty good on a bumpy track the only thing.. i changed was i used 25w in the rear and used toe out on the front.

oh wait i used the his, nitro pit setup sorry but that worked good on a bumpy track.

Email Adam Drake for a setup for those type of conditions and he will send you one. I would look at Adam's setup for the Silver State race which was really loose and blown out. The only difference was adjustable pivots, #55 piston drilled out to a #54, 37.5wt in the front, and 7k in the center.
