Default Bang for buck starter box

What is the best bang for buck starter box out there at the moment? I have a Xray xb8 tq buggy with a RB motor and need a starter box for it. No idea what I'm really looking at spec wise with these.

Any suggestions?

The ofna truggy box is the best box there is, especially if you put a lipo in it. You can get a lipo from hobbyking for the price of a gel cell. If you want the cheapest box that will work the ofna chrome top is pretty good but heavy, and even heavier with a gel cell. My advice is buy a used truggy box, yes it works great for buggies too. Don't know why its called a truggy box.

+1 on the truggy box. Can't speak on the lipo, but with a 12v it has no trouble turning over anything i've thrown at it.

Hands down, best deal you will find on a new one. I have a OFNA Truggy Box (top of the line dual motors) and this is basically the same box for half the money. Buy a 12v gel cel (thats what i have) or a 3s lipo and you are good to go.

Stormer has them for $50

Another vote for the Big Bad Blue Box. You will not regret buying the ofna truggy box.

Go to A-main and read the reviews for this blue ofna truggy box. That should answer your question. Pay a little more and get a lot more. Thats being smart with your money in my opinion.

The Ofna truggy start is hands down the best box I have used. I have had this box for years and the only thing I put in this box besides wheels, is a set of dean connectors . The most common box at our track also.

How hard is it to change to losi 8 2.0 buggy or truggy on the ofna or dynamite starter boxes? I have a v1 losi starter box and its as easy as just pushing a button and sliding the rear mounts to the long position for my truggy. But its motors aren't quite as powerful as i'd like. Been thinking of putting in a couple 775's in place of the 550's thats in it, but i'm not sure how much modding i'd have to do to get it to work.
