Yes, my racing buddy wanted to convert his 1.0 to a 2.0 and saw that he could get a new one for about 24 bucks on ebay. When he got it he measured every thing with a gauge and compared everything. Everything was perfectly spot on. So he went ahead and switched everything over and it seemed to run perfect. The downside- the metal seems to be a bit softer, i don't know if it is because the anodizing is thinner or if the properties of the metal are different.. Anyways it is up to you what you want to do, the price is nice, the fit is nice, the material mmeh. That is why i opted for a used losi one to stay in that price range instead of giving up 100 bucks.

Talking Chassis

Well, here's my 2 cents.

I have a shelf queen Modified Mugen MBX5R. I always have a new queen to take it's place.

Upon the 6 taking my 5's place, I retired the 4. (I know confusing)

I put the Dragon Chassis on and took it out for a spin.

Mind you, this thing had titanium everywhere, Ceramic Bearings everywhere. Etc, Etc.

Anyway. Fast buggy. Took a jump, cased the chassis (tried to quad a tripple)

and bent the chassis. Taco.

Now, mind you, the bugs had not been shaken out of this buggy yet.

Brace scres came out. (Never had that happen before) Screws had

lock nuts on it. The came out twice.

Took chassis home, stripped, Nice crease in the chassis.

Put in a vice, bent back, put new screws in it, nylock and lock tight.

Never had a problem after that.

Never had that happen either with a stock chassis.

Dragon wears much more than stock.

I have never replace a chassis out of all of my Mugens I have owned.

I will say, I had a MBX5T hard anodized at a company that makes the material

and I wlil say, I have not been able to seriously scratch this stuff. Really,

really hard stuff.

Dragon doesn't hard coat their stuff. Just anodize black I think.

My 2 cents.
