no not if you use a heat gun, i learned my lesson you have to preheat the engine to 200 @.

Also, those of you that have it, what glo plugs are best for this motor?

EDIT: this is the DYN Mach 2 for the Buggy im talking about here, not the pull start or truggy engines
for the cost this engines great. lasts long if taken care of. has good torque and good power. pipes up easy and tunes simple. its an sh and they have been known for durability. only small thing is fuel economy although thats very consistant for me between 8.5-9min a tank.

Default motor is a screamer

A guy that runs at my track has this motor with a losi turbo head conversion kit,o.s p3 turbo plug, and ran a losi re11 and was smoking the plus 4's and ninja's all day. Then i later pitted for him in a race and noticed he only come in one time for fuel because he was getting 11 minutes on this engine and ran at 240-250.Great engine stock,Crazy powerful with the upgrades i mentioned. This motor is way worth it's money.Hope this helps.

The redhead is a great motor, it will take what you throw at it and beg for more. I have leaned mine out till she was a clanging, still running strong and its on its third gallon.

r u using the turbo plug or standard plug???
Standard. I have not touched this thing other then Afterrun oil after every fire up. It has yet to even think about not starting. I use a comp. heat warmer and it fires on the first bump. i figure at $150 bucks Why rebuild it after 3 or 4 gallons?
