Default did I mount these right?

I ordered jconcepts barcodes for my 1/8 and if you look at the picture, the tire doesnt have the same tread the whole way around. When looking at the photo, the bottom side is mounted on the inside of the rim. The outside of the rim( top of the picture), where there is less tread is on the outside of my tire. Does that seem right?

from what ive seen (i've never owned a pair) the outside edge of the tire is the side with the > where your finger tips are and the side with the U is the inside edge!

I don't have any nor have I seen any mounted. I would assume they are made the way they are to give a tuning option. IE no wrong way to mount them.. One will give more or less side grip depending on track conditions and set up..
