Default RC8 Chassis - RTR Chassis vs. "B" Chassis

Tweeked the chassis on my RC8B, and can get my hands on a RTR chassis rather easily, but I see it does't have the "RC8" or "AE" logos milled into it, are their any other differences? (Material?)

I`d imagine it would be the same grade of alloy used on RC8,RTR&B
versions, just without the logos, no harm in trying...good luck...

Here is the thread on the buggy: http://www.rctech.net/forum/nitro-of...info-tips.html

The B chassis has larger pockets cut out to reduce weight. There is no AE or RC8 logo anymore. The RTR chassis is what the B car uses with some cut out under the tank and receiver box. There is also a clearness cut under the clutch bell as well.

My B came with the Logos Cutout under the Receiver box and Tank, and isnt that old (May), but Im not worried about that.

Honestly, not worried about the weight, this car is actually converted to elec with the AE kit, but on a B car.

Retail on the B chassis is almost 2x that of the RTR chassis, and if all that is different is a ounce or two, Im not too worried about it.

Joey, is there a chassis out there for the B that doesn't wear as much as the stock chassis?

Ok good lol. I got an RC8B a couple weeks ago and raced it at a 3 day event with a hard track and the chassis is almost as thin as my old year old RC8 But it still has more life left in it but I will get one of those BCE chassis next. Thanks.

Order it a few months before you need it. Takes Bill a little while to get them out but they are well worth it!
