Default Alphas, or Novas?

Okay guys Im thinking about changing motor brands and its either going to be an Alpha red head or green head, or an nova plus 4!

Does anyone have any suggestions of which one to choose i know theres going to be conflict and i know with novas im going to be paying for the name and alphas are pretty cheap

Thanks ahead of time

you can not compare, you get what you pay for, assuming proper care and tuning the Nova will outlast pretty much every engine out there (except the Nova based motors), want reliability and long?... life get a Nova, want an easy to tune engine? get an OS.

i have an Alpha (green head) and driven a few plus 4s. Alpha is faster IMO .

but i would get this engine, its better in every way. its my next engine, its almost an identical engine to the GRPs: http://www.amainhobbies.com/product_...ine-Turbo-Plug

the guy that made the GRPs designed this engine. its the same crankcase and all internals will work in a GRP. the carb is new tho. i tried one out this weekend and its faster than the tuned GRP, and it was getting over 8 min (almost 9 min) a tank and it wasnt fully broken in and it was temping at 175-180.

but you cant beat a ninja either IMO.

It's from the maker of GRP imported by TQ but it has some upgrades.

I have a Alpha and it runs great. Great power and 10min run times. Also replacement parts are wayyy cheaper than Nova.

a result doesnt mean that the engine is better..
The engine will not bring you results ... it is all that you will bring a good result
engine,servo,radio,car,driver,pitman etc ets
And if you look at results nova have more more many better results

Overall, the Nova is the engine, however, the Alpha engines make a really mean sound, and about 100 cheaper than the Plus-4.

I've driven Nova engines though, for a long time, and do not own an Alpha, so I'm partial to the Nova engines. A lot of people run the Alpha engines and love them, so go check out both threads, and it's all about what you want.
