ninja jx .21

I have a ninja jx.21 BO1A that am just now starting to finish up breaking it in and was wondering if it would be a good idea to put in the extra shim it came with. I am running byrons gen2 33% nitro 16% lubricant.
Also this is my first ninja so any tips and such would be appreciated.
Thanks.

You should be fine with stock shimming. No need for an extra shim.

Since u guys r talking about it I minuswell ask, I lost my silver shim yesterday when I was cleaning the engine out and I just put it together like it was till I was able to ask what would happen if I just ran it with the copper shim? The engine has 7 gallons on it btw.

DON'T DO IT!!!! you engine will be a paper weight after 2 tanks. o.s. motors are very popular. You should no have a problem finding the aluminum shim for a vspec/speed/ninja.

but run it with just a copper shim and it will basically blow up, throw a rod, burn up etc.

So just one copper one silver don't put in the extra copper?

your welcome:D

just so you know, the silver shim is .4mm and the copper is .1mm. as you can see the silver one is as thick as four copper shims!
