Default AB Mods X-Dyno in action!!

Just a small video of some dyno testing on a Race Modified JX .21. On this pull i was letting out at 41,600RPM and engine is still wanting more! This engine was on tank number 10 and still VERY tight and running rich. This engine produces massive bottom end AND top end with it still holding 1.5HP at 40,000RPM!!! I expect over 1.8HP out of this one once fully loosened up and leaned down on kill tune, especially when tested in better conditions. It was very hot and humid in my dyno cell that day with 88% humidity recorded by my X-Dyno weather station.. Talk about bad conditions for max power lol. Oh well... i will dyno it for max power at a later date. I had some free time Saturday evening so i got some footage as everyone had been asking for it for so long... so here it is!

How about reposting it without the music. I like to hear the engine. Sorry to nit-pick.

On these dyno's, what is used to load the engine. Is it water like on a full size dyno?

Yes its like a full size inertia dyno. The weight of the large wheel you see there is loading it just like the drums do on a full size chassis dyno.

PS. Can you really not hear the engine????

I want to see an engine dyno, not a music video
Its kind of a pet peeve. Its not personal.

Most Full size dynamometers aren't water load.

True. I've only been familiar with superflow. I wasn't thinking about the others.

Stock ninja is more then enough for me. Besides what is there to do to get more power? The engine looks maxed out to me. At least the crank does.

You keep screwing with your engines wanting more power. Send one of your engines to Adam and you will stop mix matching parts. You have no idea how much better your engines will run till you get one AB Modded. I was doing over 13 minutes a tank and was out running everything on the track with my vspec and was only running 220 (ask anyone at Motorama that seen it). Best $85 ever spent on a performance option.
Adam, after i get this insurance crap settled with the post office, i will send you another Ninja. This time im gonna get $1000 insurance. LOL

Sounds good Paul/MadRussian!

Dreaux- It's all in port timing and other things that i do to this engine that produce the extra power, not how the crank is shaped or fluted. In stock form the best i have got out of this engine on my Dyno is 1.46HP and 55 Oz/In, and that was on a FULLY broken in JX .21 running on a full out leaned to max power tune. This engine wasn't even close to being fully broken in or leaned down for max power... I changed some things around on my modification of this engine and was anxious to test it.... So i threw it on the dyno and shot a vid as everyone has been asking for a video of the dyno for so long. And what i have changed is working well!

Absolutemayhem- I would say around 2HP or so pretty easily for a high strung Drag Mod on 30% nitro.
