New ProLine Calibers?

Are these new Proline Calibers or a knock off? These were at the Euro B races.

+1 Seen em in action a month ago. Worked really well on hard red clay.

JAMMINKRAZY 06-12-2010 07:21 PM

They're a Panther Caliber copy.

Torian4000 06-12-2010 07:26 PM

Yes they are Panther Tires.... They work great! Thats all I can say for now.

I think they were calling them "Talons".
which i thought was odd since they seem to name them after reptiles! lol

Jube 06-12-2010 08:12 PM

Ya that was the name!

Those are prolly the new Digits

neobart 06-12-2010 10:26 PM

The new Ultra Digits don't look anything like a Caliber.

Pretty cool tires....

Also looks like they're not a directional tread, like the Calibers. That's really the only thing I dislike about the ProLines....once they wear down in the direction that's supposed to give the most forward bite, you can't flip them around to extend the tire life. Well, you can, but I don't know how much of a reduction in forward bite you get.

If Panther comes out with this for truggy, I'll have to give them a try. It would be even better if they could be mounted on the VTR wheels (hint, hint, hint) :D

The Calibers don't stand a chance at the local track. Those tiny pins rip off fast and the tire is no good after 5 minutes. I really hope they bring the Crimefighters and Bowties back, they are good strong tires.
