ok good enough, ive never driven a speed so i cant comment on the powerband. Im with you tho, i like a very smooth powerband, with sayin that i am very happy with the ninja. I won a ninja for getting 2nd place/Intermediate buggy in Arizona Winter Series, i put it in my truggy, i like it so much a bought one for my new buggy as well
Anyway, both engines are awesome! I enjoy running both of them!

The ninja is a great engine! It is a pretty smooth engine as it is. The speed is just a bit smoother(see tungsten weighted crank). They both make a ton of power and get great fuel mileage. I can run 14 minutes with my speed in truggy. That's on a medium sized outdoor track with 9mm carb restrictor, OS 2060 pipe and a legal 150CC truggy tank of Odonnell 20% race fuel. It's fun not having to worry about pitting at 10 minutes.

the pit does look like one of the best tracks i have ever seen. Actually the best would be one i saw in kuwait in a thread not long ago. I would travel there just to run on that thing. Man that track looks bad A$$

Jammin, i am willin to listen but why is a speed better then a ninja? I can out run a speed(just barley) on the straight, the punch the pretty similar. idk what speeds get on fuel milage but my ninja isnt broken in yet and im getting 9.5 min at the nitro pit with 7 mm res and 220 temps, and the ninja is 200 dollars less.

i don't see that much of a difference between 20 and 30% except the price.

20% gets better run time then 30%. One could argue more engine life but people will chime in after me and say "30% runs cooler, because it has less oil" but if your off an hr or two using 20% your safer then 30%. 20% provides more of a user error buffer that could extend useful life by saving the engine from user error.

any engine company or "modder" can make an engine that has aloooootttt of power but to me its all about USEABLE POWER
i think the speed is a great engine fershur , 500$ dollars great? hmmmmm that is a hard one i guess if i did all the dlc/silicone filled crank and all that good stuff to nova cranks it would cost me a little but 500$ , man i am not sure on the price point . i really want to get the dlc nova cranks done its not easy though!!!!
