Default Looking for Something Innovative

Hey guys I am currently in talks with another local track working out some sort of back and forth series between the two tracks. We could do a traditional points series but that seems too cliche' for me anymore as everywhere you turn there is a points series that you can run.

I'm looking for any and all ideas as of to what we could put on the line, or how we could run the series in a non "traditional points series" way. Are there any ideas you guys have ever had that you thought would be cool to incorporate into some sort of a series?
