Default Noob need advise, nitro car.

Hi!

I don't have any pro rc stuff ( only some electronic cars ) but I'm maby gona by a nitro car. I want to know if the " Atomic Warhead " is any good. I thanks for answers.

the first tip i give when advising to a new r/cer a car to get is this:

When shopping for a car look in the local hobby shops to see what parts they stock and get a car you can readily get parts for.

Nothing sucks more than not being able to run my car because a 2 dollar part is having to be ordered from BFE.

i took a look at it after searching the web, not impressed. comments like "it has bushings instead of bearings" and problem after problem comes up in the search.

save up a little longer and get something more durable

Avoid the warhead, its not a new to RC type of truck. If you looking for a MT i would suggest the Revo instead. The traxxas EZ-start is great for someone just learning to tune becuase you'll be starting it a lot.

I am going to look more on if you can buy extra parts to the car, and not only the "visible".

So wold a Traxxas Revo be good? ( sorry, I can't post URL )

my 3.3 revo was my first entry into nitro.
after burning up the first engine by running too lean, im now on the 7th or 8th tank on the new engine and even though im running it too rich.. im having a lot of fun with it.

What about this; Truck RTR 908T ? It is not expensive...

How many posts do I need before can link to URL ?

There is a reason it is not expensive. With the "off brands" like that, you would get as much for your money by just lighting it on fire and watching it burn.

The REVO is a good choice for a "monster truck." So is a Losi LST... and some HPI trucks too. I personally would stay away from just about anything else in that catagory.

On the other hand, a TRUGGY will give you all the bashing fun of a monster truck, and be a lot more durable. They cost more initially though.

You will regret buying an "off brand".....No support and no one can help you with it at the local track....
This is not a cheap hobby at all......

Traxxas is ok, WELL supported in the US

Ok, Traxxas have good stuff. I have been looking on the Revo 5309, but is it comming a new model, for 2010? Or is it something that is more a beginner car, from Traxxas or something simular... ?

And an other question; ht tp : / /w ww .de alextr eme .co m/de tail s.dx/sku.3 4 157 just remove the space and paste it. Could this camera be used on a rc car? Or is it allways hocked with USB cabel in a computer ?

I have been looking for Norton cars. I have found HPI Bullet Mt 3.0. But I dont find places where thay sell parts før it ...

SOMEONE NEEDS TO STAND ATOP EVERY HOBBY SHOP IN THE WORLD AND SCREAM THIS WHILE COVERED IN JELLO SO THAT EVERYONE PAYS ATTENTION!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Dude,

Traxxas
Losi
Hpi (be careful they have discontinued stuff)
AE
Even Duratrax

You can get parts for most of these RCs. Any thing else your gambling.
If you are trying to be cheap, your in the wrong hobby. There is nothing cheap about this.
