Default Tires: Pre-glued or do you glue your own?

Do most of you guys have better luck with pre-glued tires and rims or better luck gluing your own?

Mostly talking about buggy dish wheels

If they are AKA's I buy premounts. Anything else I mount them myself unless I feel like blowing all four off on the first lap. AKA has it right with there premounts. Everyone else needs to catch on.

I prefer to mount my on wheels. If Ilose a race because the tires blow off, then I can only blame myself

Glue my own for sure! I have had too many preglueds come unglued during a race.

And most of the time the unglued tyres and wheels are slightly cheaper. Every dollar counts in this hobby.

AKA's is all I run. The pre-mounts I have on there now, so far, so good. But I have heard different things on the general matter.

AKA's are pretty good when it comes to preglued ones...I doubt you will have a problem.

Same Here i have never had one of my tires come off but have had LOTS Pre-Glued tires come off in a race. It may happen one day but i keep a good eye on my tires if i glued them.

Default depends

I run AKA tires and the premounts are awesome for buggy, never had any issues. If and when I buy Pro Line I glue them myself and be sure to wash the tires and rims in soapy water before gluing. And that brings up another point. When cleaning your buggy, don't buy expensive cleaners, Take it apart and throw away the bearings, then soak the car parts in the sink with good ol fashoned dish soap and use a sponge and toothbrush to get the car clean, works for diffs too. then replace the bearings with AVIDs for a buck....

Glue will last a few sets of tyres though.

Well in my case it does.
