Unhappy suspension too stiff?

Hey y'all, I'm running a 2.5 nitro rustler, today I broke the shock tower I just replaced, as in this was the first run with it. I have a fairly stiff suspension setup because the truck was having problems bottoming out, now its having problems keeping the rear shock towers in one piece, when I broke the tower I was landing from maybe 2-3 feet in the air, 10-15 foot gap onto concrete/grass at around 35 mph. Am I being to hard on the little truck? I used to beat on it wayy harder then that without a hitch. As always in my threads any positve or neutral input is welcomed, Thanks y'all for reading this one.

depends on what you call stiff suspension if your using the spring to make it stiffer dont. change to a thicker oil or smaller piston hole size. set the springs only for ride height basickly drive shafts level to ground.
