The 421B. Unfortunately it's not made anymore. Alot of people having good luck with the plus 21-4. Gets great fuel mileage. Nova also has some 3 port engines that may be what you are looking for since they are priced very reasonable. Check out the houston's engine service thread and send a message to Monty. He knows whats up with the novas. I only have 1 nova, it's a 21-7FMS, a little much for a buggy. My JP B8T is based off the 421B and it's sweet in buggy and truggy.

The 21plus4c or the plus4 team are the best Novarossi engines for the buggy. Find the Houston Engine Service thread and post on there or Pm Monty. Great guy and super service. Also if your looking for a engine alittle cheaper the 21r is a great engine as well

The FMS. If the FMS was factory all of the factory drivers would be using it. Its very easy to tune and runs forever. I have 15 gallons on one and 9 gallons on the other. I would much rather tune a little power out, hence gaining fuel mileage, than run another weaker engine lean to get it to perform. If you run an 8mm restrictor in a buggy, I will grant you that it could be a handfull. I only run 6mm and its very smooth and I don't even think about refueling until after ten minutes.

You can also consider the P5XLT it has about the same performance characteristics of the plus 4 with a better pricing go to serpentamerica.com and check it out

For *most* tracks and *most* drivers: +4C with 41021/9901 header/pipe.
For those wanting a *touch* more torque, or want to run the same engine in buggy/truggy: P5XLT with 41021/9901 for buggy; run 9853 in truck.
If you want even more top end, with a bit less bottom; grab the FMS and hang on.
If you're looking for something a bit more economical price-wise that runs about 90% as good as the +4; go get the Losi Nitrotec.

The FMS has a very linear power curve (flat). Alot of bottom, alot of mid and alot of top-end; It's all there, no big spikes just smooth power and nuttin spooky. You control the power output and traction with your left index finger; Plain and simple. I get 10+ per tank, great reliability, power on demand; What else could you ask for?

get the plus 4 tuned or plus 4 C team with 9901ss with 41005 and 41021 headers , unless you have a mugen mbx6 then get 41029 .
you will not be unhappy as far as power output and mileage with the plus4 if you have no concern for mileage try a 9886/41021 ( or dynamite 086hs ) , bookoo power , sirio, orion, trinity, werks or any 2013 pipe also works great , if you want extreme low end with great mileage try the 2084ss/41005 fro buggy
