HPI Nitro Rush rebuild help
 

Hello, i am new to the forums. I have been out of R/C for years. My last car i bought was a X-ray M18 when it first came out to give you an idea of how long it has been.

I have an HPI Nitro Rush which has been collecting dust and have decided to get it running again. Just for playing around outside. no racing. My goal is to make it fast but not spent a ton of money. and be able to set it up for on and off-road running.

Plans include:

New more powerful engine

threaded aluminum shocks with full set of springs

non-stock exhaust

CVD's

bigger fuel tank

maybe new bearings

I have realized that i really don't know a whole lot about Nitro cars.

I really don't know what engines will fit. or if they are all pretty much universal fit. I have been looking at HPI's 3.0 pull start engine. I also want to be able to change out clutch housing gears.

I have not been able to find threaded aluminum shocks. what other shocks fit the rush?

Fuel tank out of another HPI car?
