Not true. Losi's drivers would have been seen driving them to test. This happens when they come out with a new platform.
You might be hearing rumors, but they're not true.
Losi came out with a European version of the 8ight 2.0 recently. Maybe this is why some people have an impression that something new is coming???

I'm betting they'll call it the 2.1 or something. Hopefully they'll both have the vented shock caps and some of the other new refinements.

I wont say nothing is coming. If it does come out, it will be after the worlds.

I guess it would not be a good time to have a new buggy even before and after the worlds.
Sentiment in world economy is bad. Many are still out of job and some are just earning barely enough.
The current car, most are getting what it can do only recently, a new car means (0) again.
Losi should get in more new parts/option what they are doing now to get the car dial as I personally find it a little loose still ( newcomers like me ) and would prefer it to be more planted. And reliability issues too for those who knock around pretty often.

I don't want to switch brands this fall for the indoor winter season.

There's nothing wrong with the 8ight 2.0, you just need to have your car right. Your a beginner so overtime you will get the feel for a proper car. So many times i drive noobs stuff and it's all out of wack and feels like crap. Let the car do the work on the track and you do the work on the lines and down slopes.
To be honest the losi is really durable. Only time my 8ight has broken is with collisions on a straight or after a big jump with other cars. Other then that it really doesn't break.
