I am always stubborn to change fuel, but my local hobby shop helps me out in the engine and fuel dept, and so we talked about fuel and I started using 25% gen2 11% oil byrons fuel and I was amazed at the power this fuel produces, and with the 11% oil mix it gives plenty of luibrication in my P5's. Most fuel uses too little oil, some as low as 8%, not nearly enough in my opinion, and I think 30% is overkill. I've found in offroad conditions 25% nitro and no less than 11% oil is necessary for long engine life. Tuning is not an issue, and really it could use a shot of caster oil in each gallon to bump it to 13% oil, but I've had no issues with this fuel so why mess with a good thing. It burns clean too. Most pro race fuel is designed to give max power but can shorten engine life, It's nice to see Byrons doing so well against the snake oil salespeople and sponsored drivers who tell you their fuel is the best, I'm a longtime racer and not sponsored by anyone and the truth is, Byrons, Odonnell, and Traxxas is the best fuel. I know what your thinking, but Traxxas is made by Powermaster here in texas and that fuel is great too...but for a national company Byrons is the best, and odonnell is second, stay away from garage fuels and fuels with too low of oil content. That includes the prototype fuel, Rocket science, and most pro driver type fuels, just get Byrons and forget about it. 20-25% 11-13% oil....If you have a RTR or new to the hobby, or a basher, then go with the 20% 16% blend, it will keep you new guys safe and prolong your engine life....and most important, don't lean out the top end and fatten the bottom, lean the bottom and give it plenty on top to burn....

i've tried blue thunder , trinity platinum , odonnell ( second favorite ) , werks ( another quality fuel ) , sidewinder wc blend , will not try nitrotane after seeing some engine internals and actually tried torco fuels from one of the locals that run it .
i am sure there are other quality fuels out there but no one but no one uses the same high quality oils that byrons uses nor does another fuel company have the precision blending system that byrons has . the proprietary lube package that byrons uses is just that , proprietary to byrons , not too many average joe racers even have any idea where it comes from and it is sort of a secret
happy motorin',
monty
keep the stories comin guys

+1 for Byrons Gen 2 Fuels.
There are very few products I actually believe in....
1 of those is my Tekin gear... The other is Byron's Gen 2 Fuels.
I switched to it after running ODonnel and noticed a MASSIVE change in my equipment.
Cooler running, Easier more consistent tunes, truly better performance all around.
I run the Pro Driver 30%... LOVE THIS FUEL!
