It was purchased brand new, less than 2 years ago, but I'm starting to think that it might have been old stock. Possibly been sitting around for a while. I've seen the latest version of the ST-US, and it has the 17mm wheel hubs that mine certainly does not.

Are the T-Maxx wheels worth using, or are they completely the wrong size?

It's beginning to look like the best solution is going to be a new tire, rather than new wheels. Can't believe how difficult this is proving to be

Thanks very much, everybody

Edit: Does anybody have any idea if the newer hubs are available for purchase, and if they'd be straight forward to fit?

If you have the Inferno ST-US the old it have 14mm hex with a black outer adaptor to 19mm hex... you can put 17mm wheels only if you change hex and the shaft...
if you want part no. tell me to post here
the new inferno st-us have 17mm hexes

I have a is sports k truggy from Christmas 2006 and it took the smaller 14mm hexes. I upgraded the driveshafts to universals and put 17mm hexes on it. It can be frustrating I have ko idea why kyosho would do such a thing but they sure did. You need different hexes 17mm is the standard for truggys.
