I've been running 2x 7955 TG servos unregulated (1500 mah 7.4 lipo which peaks at around 8.4 volts) on my M11X since the release of the m11x and they haven't blown up on me.... yet

I've also ran 2x 5955TG servos unregulated for the past 2 race seasons

They work no issues.. Plus Hitec's warranty is golden.

Hitec has even come out and stated while they aren't rated for 2S Lipo they can easily handle it with no issues.

I have been running them like that for a little over a year, and never one issue whatever I run them with Spektrum RX.

i also have spektrum rx and know that hitec warranty is awsome. i just discovered that my voltage regs wires r busted off the board and i will never get one intime for this weekend. so i wanted to see if i can run them unregulated while i get a new reg. but after hearing that the reg is not needed maybe i will run without it.

Your golden. The Spek RX is rated to handle 9.6v and those servo's are beast when comes to durability.

run them unregulated. I ran mine for about 2 weekends with nimh, i was happy but not satisfied. Last weekend i went to lipo unregulated, the servos are faster and stronger. i ran about an hour like this and didnt even use half my 1800 lipo
