Mineral oil from a pharmacy. WD-40 is mostly kerosene...not good if your crank is filled.

A well respected engine modder told me he uses only Singer light sewing machine oil, and only when his engines are going into long term storage or not to be used for awhile. I took his advice and have not been happier. I dont use ARO anymore unless I know my engine will not be used for at least 2-3 weeks. When I do the singer oil works great. Its really thin and does not hurt anything. It was $4 for a bottle that will probably last me my whole life

i like engine fogging oil works great in any engine, and doest affect silicone ,and the motor starts right up and a spray can last forever best i ever tried out of every after run oil

Marvel mystery....but I tear mine down after every raceday and clean it real good with simple green and dawn....then spray it down with denatured alchol and blow all the moisture out with a air gun. Nitro methane is famous for attracting moisture and causing rust on your crank and bearings. When I put it back together I use Benol(castor oil) to lube everything. Then,if you want to store the motor,just plug it up and don't worry about it...you have all the dirt and moisture causing elements taken care of....

Depends on your motor. I have seen marvel mistery oil and WD40 destroy filled cranks. Sewing maching oil in a really light coat is really the only thing I would substitute.

With todays fuel you really don't need after run oil.

WD40 and or Marvel mystery oil..

The good thing with WD40 is its good people who run there motors alot. For short term storage like less then a week. IT keeps things lube and allows for quicker start ups when u got to run the engine again. MArvel is better suited for longer term storage.

il probably use Singer oil. Would 3-in-1 work? its what i have handy, but im running my car every other day. Just broke it in on monday
