I recently came across a CEN Matrix fre and Im wanting to get into racing. I know it isnt the best buggy in the world but it was cheap. It came with an Ofna Force 26 I doubt Il use it so Im wondering what motor and servos yall think I should get. Il be doing nothing but club races and practicing so the best motor isnt needed, Im looking for something on the cheaper side but a good motor. I need help with servos also. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance

For engines, I'd go with the Dynamite Mach 2 .21 - they are pretty good for someone on a budget. As for servos, I hear that Associated's XP line is nice- a couple of DS1013's will do you just fine.

The xp1313's are very good for the price and last a long time. For the motor the little Losi 350 rtr motor is pretty user friendly and can be had for pretty cheap. One other good thing to invest in is a quality radio system be it new or used. Something along the line of a Spektrum DX3E for $100 comes with the reciver and a servo you could get away with to use as a throttle servo.

+1 on the XP servos and the dynamite motor for the budget minded. hitec 645 servos are cheaper yet but they are not digital and do not last as long.
