I have both but i like my buggy more. I race them both at big events but for the local stuff i'll do a couple weeks with the buggy and then do a weekend with the truggy. If you can drive both before buying that might be your best option, if not pick one you cant really go wrong. Just choose a quality kit to start with .

I currently own a buggy, and as far as working on it goes it seems like the truggy would be easier to work on(not as tight as the buggy)so if your not very mechanical i would go truggy but i think the buggy will make you a better driver eventually i will get a truggy also.IMHO

I drive truggy exclusively. I had a buggy in the beginning(wish I still had it). Buggy is excellent for tightening up your style. I will get a buggy again. if I had to make a choice based on my needs and skill set I would start in truggy and then go buggy then back to truggy or race both. You cant lose either way they are both a blast to drive so whichever you end up with you should enjoy, just buy quality and make that a top priority the first time not the second.

I like truggys more at this point cause I can drive them. Buggys take more concentration to drive correctly. But if you are really in to RC racing - 1/8th buggys is the class to run.
I'm not sponsored so it does not matter what I put here.
