what nova engines work with the 086 or re11??
just curious. Want to get a nova engine but this is the pipes i have right now. I know the n21bf works with it. But what about the plus 4, toro nerro, fms, p5 etc.
really what to try nova out. but i don't want to spend half a grand with a new pipe. if not looks like i might try the eb mods js or a picco. I know they run with the 086. of course o.s. engines run with these pipes but i have several. trinity extech? Werks? |

i wouldnt reccomend using the RE11 on Nova engines
I tried it on my P5 and my 821B and it sucked and made my engines run hot before making any power |

that sucks because i am really wanting the toro nerro.
i love my o.s. motors, but how does the quality of nova compare to o.s.? |
if im not mistaken.. Atondo ran an 86 pipe wit his toro at motorama... and his truggy was flying
|
that would be way cool if it would work with it.

I ran an 086 on my Toro once. It ran great but was very finicky with tune. I think you would be most impressed with the +4. I love mine, and if I had to do it over again would have got it instead of the Toro for last year's mill.

I have never had a nova engine but are they hard to tune in general? Is the plus 4 a tame motor? What would you compare it too? |

i love my o.s. motors, but how does the quality of nova compare to o.s.? You're comparing apples to oranges when talking about quality. Based off what I've seen, OS isn't in the same league as Nova. There's way too many reports of cranks failing in 3 to 6 gallons for me to ever consider an OS. It almost makes me want to compare OS to the 1st gen Go motors. And I used to love OS motors, I was running them 10 years ago. |
