I think you will be OK. The D8T is a solid truggy and drives very well, jumps well and the only thing it really needs is to be lightened up a little but thats not completely necessary as it's good right out of the box.
We have a couple of fast guys running the D8T. If you need help see the Track Star thread and look up "stipres" or "itsshemp". They are very helpful and fast!

Better stock up on these, so you can oil your bearings.

Why is that? Losi is made in the same place as far as I understand.

Did you sell the 2.0 already ? If not and you dont like the D8T , then you can always go back. I wish i was brave enought to buy more than one brand. I liked my first Xray and have never tried another. Driven a few at the track but havent goten them set up the way i like it.

I'm keeping my losi just in case I don't like the d8t but if someone wants the losi its up for grabs for a very good price

you wont miss the Losi, i made the change due to the D8T being cheaper to purchase and to maintain, plus my team mate is sponsored, but i came from a 1.0 that had a great set up
the D8T is great just take your time and be paient with the setup and IMO put it on a diet and it will treat you right
