Default Best battery for Losi Buggy/Truggy

What is your battery of choice that fits in the battery box?

Lipo, Life, or NiMH

Price and where do you get it from ?

I like the power and run time of the lipos, but not a big fan of the regulator. Yes I have HV servos, but not enough for all my rides. And I have an ICE charger so I cannot do the life batteries. But may look at them in the future,

Currently I use the Protec 7.4V 2300mah for Amain. I like it, but if barely fits in the box.

if you have hv servos then you don't have to worry about a regulator. For the rest you can get regulator, I think its better to run regulators because they cut off and dont let you drain the lipo below 3v/cell, its kind of like an insurance.

Ebay lipo's are what i use for both my buggy and truggy...for the $$ i have about 9 of them and normally only bring 4 to weekend events....ill run them for a couple quali's then charge them back up....In buggy ive ran a 45min main w/8min warm up and it took 650mah.

i have yet to find a cheaper alternative and have yet to have one let go...I have a buddy who beats his up beyond belief and loves the fact they are 5$ a pop and if something does go wrong its no big deal to toss it and use a new one.

Wow..... this might be the ticket !

I have never put more than 800 and some miliamps into any of my packs. Dont really need all the amps. just want some packs. Hard to beat this one.

I run the losi lipo in my 8 vehicles and it fits the box perfectly. I use the hitec 7950/7940 servo setup and after 3 7 min quals its taking about 700-800 mah.
