Exclamation HB D8 kit missing parts

My brother and i purchased Hot Bodies D8 kits from Tower Hobbies. Both kits came missing steering bearings HBC 8088. Two kits missing same part, what are the odds on that. HB customer service seemed to know what parts where missing. It gets better. Replacement bearings from HB are on BACK ORDER. They have NO idea will they will get some.
Has anyone else purchased HB D8 kits without HBC 8088 bearings?

Yep,
Happened to me.
Fortunately, I bought the D8T at the same time and took the bearings out of that kit and used it to build my buggy. Then when the replacement bearings came, I was able to finish the truggy. I also had an issue with one of the internal diff shafts. It was so rough the gear would not rotate on it at all.

To HB's credit, they did send me the parts immediately.

My buggy kit was missing the same bearings, but for $270 I guess you can't complain. I just went to the LHS and purchased them.

HB is realy good at replacing parts and providing ones that are missing. In mean time, get some from local hobby shop or order some from Avid RC, he ships out fast.

already purchased bearings, the point is, HB sent kits out KNOWING bearings where missing. They need to advertise that "parts may be missing." But hey, if u won't a complete kit buy Losi, Xray, Ofna, etc..
No way would i send product to public knowing parts are missing. I am sure they assumed buyer will go to local hobby shop and buy a set. By the way, cost are $14.00 at Dads hobby shop.
Curious to what will be missing in new buggy coming out this year.

Avid is all I run except in the clutch where I use TKO. I recommend the revolutions. They have a rubber seal on one side and metal on the other. I put the rubber seal towards the outside. And since they are only a dollar when they get crunchy just throw them out instead of rebuilding them.

On another note there break disks are also really good.
