If you're worried about it affecting anything, mount it in the windshield.

For the XXX cars, I mount the larger AMB transponders behind the receiver. I mount the personal transponders on the front bulkhead.

Default Motor setup

Aaron:

I know you ran 4499s for club racing and 4505s for big racing. How much time did you break in each brush?. With proper gearing, how many runs should I get before changing brushes and cutting the com? Do you change the brushes every time you cut the come?

Thanks

Casper

What brush/spring/gear combo did you run at the Reedy at HRH?

Thanks

I never break in my brushes for stock. They make the most power brand new.

I was cutting comms every run and re-brushing every two. I was even re-serrating the old brushes before run number two..haha

It doesn't count when you're getting lapped!

See you soon.

It won't matter..I'm just gonna be in the way! hahaha

Mod truck and buggy. I'm somewhere in the top 3-5 in both classes, so I'm pretty stoked. I got 3rd in both last year.

Aaron,

As you know, I'm running this series thing with my gas truck....These races are every other sunday. So I've got roughly 2 weeks between runs....and I don't run it between the races. With all that free time I have, I take the ENTIRE engine apart and WD-40 it, clean it, dry it, oil it and painstakingly put it back together. I personally enjoy cleaning the engine simply because I know it will run like new every time I fire it up....but is all this necessary?...or is it OK?

Thanks!

Not necessary and way overkill. If you enjoy it there is no harm as long as you do not introduce contamination (ie. dirt or cloth fibers etc.) when you clean and put it back together.

If you think that's overkill.....you should see me with my stock motors! I set a day aside for rebuilds and or tuning!
