Yellow, or White wheels?
I've always run White wheels on my buggy, I have an old set of Holeshots on yellow wheels, but that was my only tires on yellow wheels. I started noticing that most white wheels look really really bad after one or two runs, but the yellows seem to hold their color better, and look nicer. I notice Drake and Truhe were running Yellows, and I don't think I have seen anything but yellow wheels on their cars. But Lutz uses white, so I what I'm asking is what do you prefer? Yellow or White wheels? All my wheels I get from now on will be yellow, they match my car better but they look better longer than the whites to me at least :D. -NuthinFancy91 |
I buy white wheels and dye them whatever color I need :-) Running a set of Red ones at the moment....and have a set of black ready to rock as well.

I think I marshaled that race. lol I dyed a set of my Dad's truggy wheels black once, and same thing when they got dirty they looked junky to me. :spidey: |
its what ever you prefer
My WHITE |
i like the yellow ones. they go good with the color of my buggy body. dyed black are pretty cool too.

Yellow are faster... its science

Yellow all the way. You're totally right about looking better for longer. Plus they are more visible than pretty much any other color.;)

I didn't think I would like yellow, but after getting them stock on the Losi race roller I changed my mind. I painted the body to match them, and I have been running yellow rims ever since. Also it seems that it is easier to find yellow rims in stock since I think less people buy them.

I've noticed it to... white wheels tend to pick up all Dirt has to offer, scratches and stains easier because of the nature of white... yellows I think because of their brightness tend to hide those same signs of use. I always buy white and dye according to my cars paint scheme.
I had my D8 with dyed wing and wheels. Probably do the same with my new Mugen... |
well Bo doesnt lutz run AKA? and i dont even think they make yellow truggy wheels and if thats the case then he probably wants the same color on both his buggy and truggy.
i run what ever color i can get the cheapest  i cant remember when i bought a brand new set of tires and wheels  |
I am running white or black now because yellow would look stupid with my body. I agree about white wheels looking ugly after a couple runs. I think black looks good because you can't really see any of the dirt, etc. But what I usually do is get a set of white wheels and dye them what ever color I want. Next I am going for blue.

I have to admit the custom colors do look nice. I just don't have time to do that with every set of tires I buy. I find yellow goes well with my paint anyway(sort of intentional).
