Default enginge problem

I am new to nitro....trying to get suggestions on why my flywheel wont turn when I put it on the starter box...but I can turn it with my hand

I'm guessing it's stalling the starter box. Try preheating the motor with a hair dryer, or preferably a heat gun if you've got one. That will make the motor easier to turn over for the starter box.

starter box setup, a very rarely discussed part of nitro racing. the car may be too high or too low, the wheel may be rubbing on the chassis or the battery is just too weak, switch engagement too late. what car and what box may help, pics too.

Take the plug out and see if it works. I just had my box completely strip the pulley teeth off the small pulley, check that also.

If the engine's really difficult to turn over by hand, I would just heat it up like previously said. If the engine does turn over quite easily by hand, then look at the starter box.
