BACKPLATE FOR A SIRIO ENGINE...HELP!
I have a Sirio .30 engine that I want to use as a backup engine for my 8th scale buggy, but it has a rotostart backplate. where can I get a sirio standard backplate? I know that I probably have to modify the back of the carankshaft, but i cannot find a standard sirio backplate anywhere. any suggestions???
Thanks, guys!

Well, Trinity/Epic is the distributor in the US for these engines, so I would start by contacting them. They can either point you to a dealer that has them in stock, or perhaps you can get it directly from them. I don't think that engine is available without the rotostart backplate, but perhaps you can use a .28 backplate. Yes, you will have to grind the extension off the rod journal to install a backplate.
