My 550s in my 1.0 box are finally starting to go....

Did you get the 775 to work? Any special modes to the 1.0 box and what did you buy?:
losi 775 from the 2.0 box (one or two motors)
belt
pinion

i know tokens title says no truggy box but i would seriously look into one. i went thru at least 5 brand new losi 8ight boxes in one summer season. now with 2 truggy boxes starting my cars they have yet to faulter almost 2 years. those losi box days sucked

I dropped the bulkhead/motors/belt/idler from my OFNA box into an old Losi box. Took a bit of modding to get the wheel moved over and some shims to raise it up, but it works amazingly well. OFNA box power but it starts the Losi's really easily.

I used the losi 775 motor and the 550 motor as a dummy ,only wire the 775 get new pinons at amain and drill them out to 3/16 to fit motor shaft and then drill and tap on the side for 4-40 set screw use the same belt as before ,,,its tight in the box but it works ,use a 14.8 4c lipo and it will start a tractor ,I think the nitro motor has to slow down after it starts ,,LOL

Just buy an Ofna box and stop the headache!!!

When I ran losi's I had the first version and the second. Burned up th motors in the first and threw two belts in the second. I finally switched to the ofna and just love it.
