Team Losi Nitrotec .21 Engine

Anybody have any info on this engine?

I saw it on Neo Buggy and on A main. From what I can tell it looks to be a Nova P5XL case and kind of looks like a +4 head without the parts milled out and the holes drilled. The carb also looks like it is from the +4. It has the same bore and stroke as the P5XL. It says it is a 4 port engine so I am wondering if this is some sort of creation that Nova is building for losi.

Any info would be appreciated. It looks like it is going to be a very solid mill from Italy with an awesome price.

Big discussion here.

You've got a pretty good summary thus far. Nobody has posted anything certain and I've given my opinion a few times based on my experience/observations.

Bore/stroke is std. Nova.

The "domed" piston/new button is the only thing out of the norm. Which makes it look like a "standard" or "non-tuned, Team" engine basically.

Will be a solid mill without a few of the extra touches, to keep cost down.

My guess it's just a P5. If you looks at the case and cooling head they're the same. But... That's just a guess.

P5 is a 5 port, this one is a 4 port.

Thanks! I will check that thread.

I have a Modded FMS from Fusion that has the same "domed" piston and the different head button.

So I am assuming this engine will basically be a p5 case and crank, +4 sleeve and carb, FMS Fusion "domed" Piston, and a basic head.
