I just a hyper 7 buggy and it came with the stock clutch setup but no motor, I just got a force .21 4 port engine and went to assemble the clutch and my motor has the crank with no set screw in the end, and the clutch has the set screw. Can I make this setup or do I need a whole new setup? Thanks

I think you should be no problem to use back the old clutch set. But show us what you have in a pic and this will more easy for us to tell you what you need......

Also I have this that came with the engine. If someone can help me by showing me a diagram or telling what order all of my pieces go in. Iv never assembled a clutch before. Thanks

that hub is not needed,its for mounting airplane props.
go to ofna.com and download the buggy manual,it will show you step by step.
me personally i would shitcan that engine.

You can cut the threads down and then use the clutch nut that helivaguy posted.
I have done this on many .12 engines that had a standard crank and I need to make it a SG.

Yeah, all offroad need to use SG shaft engine. I feel best is to get another cheap new engine

I have used the clutch nut helivaguy posted,it gave me nothing but grief,if you can return the engine and get a standard SG shaft engine it would be best.

Yeah, returning the engine is not really in the cards. So Il just have to try and make it work till I can afford a decent engine. So I will need to shorten the crank? How much did you have to? Thanks for all the help

Just measure the inside depth of the female threads on the clutch nut. Then just leave a little less than that for the threads on the crank.
