Default Vantage Carbon Fiber Exhaust... Experiences?

Looking at putting a new exhaust on my gt2.... Anyone have experience with running the vantage carbon fiber exhaust on a 10th scale off road with a 12 or 15 motor application? Looking for positive and negative.

Loudest and most annoying-sounding pipe ever. They're marketed toward the Traxxas, Duratrax, etc. market. If you're into tuning and/or racing, go with a proper pipe and get better performance.

On another note:
They're not legal at proper races, to my knowledge. They ought to be made illegal at club races, in my opinion, for the simple fact that you want to cover your ears when it goes by. The only person who used to run one at our club races gained a following of "fans" who wanted to ban (or was it "burn"?) the pipe.

If you run your car in the neighborhood or at a track, be conscientious of your noise levels.

I've got one, but it's for the .21 engines in my buggies. As others have posted, these things are ear-splitters, but I think that everyone who enjoys the sound of a nitro engine should have one of these pipes in their box... Just for special occasions.

My honest recommendation would be for you to check out the Vantage website and see if they have something for your particular needs. With regards to performance, it's a bit of a toss-up, depending on the pipe/header/engine combo, so there again, I'd recommend maybe shooting the guys at Vantage an e-mail to see if they can provide you with more specific info.

If the pipes for the .21 engines are any cue, you may see a slight performance increase across your engine's envelope, but the pipe (at least, from my own experience) is a bit of a fuel hog

I've heard/seen a couple run.

Most guys didn't run them long.

I didn't feel like it was actually any louder than a typical pipe, but the note/tone is totally different. It's more of a deeper/flatter "blaaatt" than a high pitched buzzsaw/ring. Total decibel level between a typical 2-chamber and these isn't that drastic; just my thoughts.

I have one just to hear the loud engine as it goes by. They don't dissipate heat well, but look and sound cool. I don't typically race with it though.
